Mahler's 3rd Symphony
The ASO will perform a single, monumental work on its spring concert--Gustav Mahler's Symphony #3. Mahler's longest and most philosophical work, the Third Symphony presents nothing less than a panoramic worldview of life and loss. At an hour and a half in length, any performance of it is an occasion, and the ASO will triumphantly close its survey of Viennese classics with a rare collegiate performance of this masterpiece.
Featuring:
Jaime Korkos, mezzo-soprano, soloist
Guest choristers from UMass Amherst and Amherst College
